Author Biography:Lowell Dittmer is a professor in the graduate school of the Charles and Louise Travers Department of Political Science at University of California, Berkeley. He has published widely on contemporary China and Sino-foreign relations. He is most recently the author of China’s Asia: Triangular Dynamics since the Cold War (2018) and the editor of Taiwan and China: Fitful Embrace (2017).
